Mitigation

• Alternative energy production provides us energy without the burning of fossil fuels. They don't emit carbon dioxide or methane but they produce pollutants in the process of making them
• Carbon capture and storage and planting trees collect carbon dioxide and store it underground. They are relatively cheap and can be converted to minerals but it relies of low income countries and doesn't encourage companies to lower their emmsions
• International agreements help countries lower their emissions via global movements but HICs blame LICs and vise versa.
• An example of international agreements is the Paris climate change agreement in 2016, signed by 195 to lower their emissions so the global temperature would be lower than 2 degrees
