• Louis took every opportunity to undermine Edward since he chose an alliance with Burgundy
• he watched Edward and Warwick's relationship collapse then brought Warwick and Margaret together to try and get Henry back on the throne. the alliance provided Warwick with a claim to the throne
• Louis would be given the credit of bringing Warwick and Margaret together so contributing to Edward's fall
