  • Thye barriers to accessing care are socioeconomic, psychological, culture and langauge, geographical.
  • Socio economic barrier is (financial, education, occupation) and could involve things such as individuals backround, working works, taking time off, affording to pay, affording travelling, private vs public(insurance+ waiting list) and strikes.
  • psychological barrier can indluded things such as mental health disordes, denial, low energy, mental blocks/memory, mental capacity, age/maturity/young/elderly.
  • Culture and language barriers can include beliefs(jewish,muslims), language barrier, person that is a carer for them is unavailable, against western medical practices, holism (belief that the whole person is important)
  • Georgraphic barriers can include transport, ubran/rural areas, differences in services provided, type of housing.
