parallel circuits

• what is special about a parallel circuit?

  some charges flow through one branch, other charges flow through other branches
• each new resistor added into a parallel circuit decreases the equivalent resistance of the main circuit
• each new resistor added in a parallel increases the current of the main circuit
• current through each route will be split according to the resistance - routes with more substance will be slower than routes with less resistance
