  • A theory that only applies to one culture, so it varies from place to place and between cultures
  • Formed in the context of their original culture
• WEIRD bias in research

  • Henrich - most of psychology's findings and assumptions come from research on Western, Educated, Industrialised, Rich, Democratic nations
  • This causes a cultural bias when it is assumed to be the norm, and that countries that don't conform are different or wrong
