    • The 12 SI prefixes are Tera Giga Mega kilo hecto deca deci centi milli micro nano and pico.
    • These prefixes can also be abbreviated, for example, Tera can be simplified to T, Giga to G, Mega to M, and so on.
    • The prefix Tera has an exponent value of 10 to the power of 12, meaning it's one followed by twelve zeros.
    • As you go from Tera to pico, the value gets smaller and smaller all the way to ten to the power of negative twelve.
    • 12 prefixes start with 12 and end with negative 12.
    • 10 to the power of 0 is 1, which is why it's referred to as the base.
    • The prefix km in kilometer represents the prefix kilo and the letter m stands for meter, making 1 kilometer equal to 10 to the power of 3 meter.
    • The mnemonic to remember the 12 SI prefixes and their exponent values is: The Great Man king henry's daughter Beth drinks cold milk until nine pm.
    • Each word in the mnemonic is represented by the abbreviation for the prefix in the order from Tera to pico, and to remember the exponent values, just remember starting with base it's 0 and then we go 1 2 3 and multiples of 3, 6 9 and 12.
    • The only difference is you add a negative sign on the right hand side for the negative prefixes.
