practical - 1.cut up a potato into identical cylinders and get the beaker with different solutions.
2.measure the mass of the cylinder,leave one cylinder in each beaker
3.take them out and dry them, remeasure their mass
(if water has been drawn in ,the mass will increase, if water has been drawn out, the mass will decrease)
4.dependant variable - the potato mass
independant - the concentration
control - volume of solution, time, type of sugar
5. errors will occur if not done correctly such as their will be a higher mass if potato's weren't fully dry
