• Max Planck - made an empirical formula based on the quantized energy idea
• Quantized energy, in the electromagnetic spectrum, is when energy is emitted or absorbed, in discrete amounts or packets called quanta.
• Each quanta is has a frequency (v) and wavelength (λ).
• The formula for every quantum: (h= plank's constant) $E =$$hv$
• Einstein proposed photons are responsible for LIGHT.
