  • Victims of Homicides
    64% of homicide victims are men. However, 22% of these men are aged 16-24, whereas the highest proportions of female victims are aged 25-34
  • Victims of Domestic Violence
    7.3% of females experienced domestic violence, compared to 3.6% of men. Women aged 20-24 were more likely to be victims than any other group. Females with a household income of less than £10 were 50% more likely to be victims of domestic abuse, only 4% of women with a household income of £50 were victims
  • Ethnicity Victimisation
    Home offices figures shows black people are more likely to be murdered than white people in the UK. The most violent crime is inter-racial - home office figures show that 1/3 of gun murder victims and suspects are black
  • Ethnicity & Social Class
    23% of people with mixed ethnicity who had a managerial occupation have been the victim of crime, compared to 14% of white people. 25% of people with mixed ethnicity who have never been in long term unemployment have been the victim of crime, compared to 14% of white and 6% black.
