  • Procedure of oesophagal dynamic tracking:
    • Injection of RF dose 5-74 MBq with 1-20ml ingested
    • Examination in sitting position or lying in front projection (sometimes also used oblique projection). Mouth, throat and stomach are displayed.
    • After initiation of dynamic record period of 2 minutes (0.5sec/image) we ask the patient to swallow labeled food or drink.
    • Records should be repeated several times, possibly in oblique projection.
    • Gastroesophageal reflux is seen in late images
  • What is manometry?
    Manometry is the measurement of pressure within various parts of the GIT and is done by passing a catheter containing solid-state or liquid-filled pressure transducers through the mouth or anus into the lumen of the organ to be studied.
