A
Unit Circle
is a circle whose center is at the origin and with a radius of 1 unit. Every point on the unit circle
satisfies the equation: x2 + y2 = 1.
y
The terminal point (x,y) is referred to as the
Trigonometric Point
which is usually denoted by
P(0), that is P(0) = (x, y).
Circular functions
are defined in terms of the coordinates of trigonometric points on the unit circle.
Circular Functions
are repetitive in nature. Functions whose values are cyclical or repetitive are called
periodic functions.
DOMAIN
Defined as the set of all possible values of x-coordinate, or the set of all inputs for which the function is defined.
RANGE
Defined as the set of all possible values of y-coordinate, or the set of all outputs for which the function is defined.
