Consequences

• There were 1.4 million killed in total between every party involved.
• American deaths per year of conflict were actually higher than in the Vietnam War
• It was a success for the US because, despite the high cost and casualties, it showed that the USA had the will and the means to contain communism. Furthermore, South Korea stayed out of communist hands.
• It wasn't successful for the US because North Korea stayed communist and tensions were highlighted between American leaders.
