  • All events occur from the 16th October to the 28th:
    On the 22nd of October, Kennedy imposed a naval blockade around Cuba. On the 23rd of October, Kennedy received a letter from Khrushchev saying that the Soviet ships will not stop at the blockade. On the 24th, the Soviet ships turned around
  • On the 26th of October, Kennedy received a letter from Khrushchev stating that the USSR would remove their missiles from Cuba as long as the USA promised to lift the blockade and not attack Cuba.
  • On the 27th, Kennedy received another letter from Khrushchev stating that the condition for removing the missiles from Cuba was that the USA withdraw its missiles from Turkey.
  • Despite an American spy plane being shot down over Cuba and the consequent calls for war, Kennedy accepted the deal in the first letter. The terms of the deal were that the USSR remove the missiles from Cuba. In exchange, the USA would remove the blockade and promise not to attack Cuba. Furthermore, the USA would offer to consider the removal of missiles from Turkey.
