Titration skills

• Indicators can be used to detect the endpoint of reaction.
• The equivalence point is when the volume (in mL) of all the acid has reacted with all the bases and the reaction is complete .
• D.F. = volume of pipette/volume of volumetric flask
• Titre Valuees < 10mL

  Inaccuracy of the reading becomes too large.
• Titre Values > 25mL 


  Will waste solution, and burette needs to be refilled (increasing the inaccuracy)
• For method modification if one value is smaller than the other then the expected value (15)/(actual value *10).
• Expected titre: actual titre * aliquot/dilution factor
