• Woodrow Wilson didnt want to be too harsh on germany because he didnt want them to recover and get revenge

• Germany had lost 75% of their iron ore and had to pay so much money in reparations which resulted in the German economy being in a bad state
• Treaty led to Political violence as the Germans thought the treaty was too harsh
