  • what is reaction time?
    the time it takes to respond to a stimulus
  • What can caffeine do to someone’s reaction time?
    Speed it up
  • In the first step of the experiment, why should the person being tested sit with their arm on the table?
    To stop it moving up and down in the test. It would be unfair and inaccurate
  • What is the second step to the experiment?
    the person not being tested should hold the ruler vertically between their thumb and forefinger. The zero end of the ruler must be level.
  • Why must you not tell the person tested when you are dropping the ruler?
    It would make the results inaccurate

    the reaction time of the person is measured by the number where it is caught
