Flowering and non Flowering Plants

• Flowering plants grow flowers and use seeds to reproduce or make more plants like them.Examples are Corn,Mongo bean,Sunflower,tulip,tomato,eggplant,mango,avocado and guava.The scientific name for flowering plant is anngiosperms.The major stages of its life cycle are seed,germination,growth,pollination,fertilization,and seed dispersal.
• Non-flowering Plants like mosses and ferns do not grow flowers.They reproduce by spores instead of seeds.A spore contains reproductive cells enclosed in a thick case and held together by a structure called

  Sporangium.The stages in life cycle of fern plants are : releasing of spore that will develop into gametophyte which produces sperm ​and egg ( gametes).These gametes fuse to form a zygote which develops into new sporophyte and later grows into mature sporophyte.
