Newtons Laws

• Newton's 1st Law - An body will remain at rest or continue at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force
• Newton's 1st law - The Law of Inertia
• Inertia means the reluctance of a body to change its state of motion.
• Newtons 2nd Law - The Law of Acceleration
• Newtons 2nd Law - "When a force acts on an object, the rate of change of momentum experienced by the object is proportional to the size of the force and takes place in the same direction as the force."
• Greater force = greater acceleration
• Newton's 3rd Law - Law of action/reaction
• Newton's 3rd Law - "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" - whenever an object exerts a force on another , there is a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction, caused by the second object."
