ANGLE
is the union pf two rays that share a common endpoint.
The RAYS are called the
SIDES OF THE ANGLE.
An angle is in standard position if its vertex is located at the
origin
and one ray is on the
positive
x-axis.
The ray on the x-axis is called the
TERMINAL SIDE.
The
INITIAL
SIDE
is where the angle
starts
and the
TERMINAL
SIDE
is where the measurement of the angle
stops.
The
angle
is measured by the amount of rotation from the initial side to the terminal side.
If measured in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction the measurement is
POSITIVE
If measured in a
COUNTER
CLOCKWISE
direction the measurement is POSITIVE
If measured in a CLOCKWISE direction the measurement is
NEGATIVE.
If measured in a
CLOCKWISE
direction the measurement is NEGATIVE.
CO-TERMINAL ANGLES
are angles in standard position that have a common terminal side
To find a positive and negative co-terminal angle with a given angle, you can
