Bluetooth

• Lower power devices communicate over a short range with other devices
• Frequency hopping is used to reduce interference with WiFi signals that use similar frequencies of microwaves
• Infrared- low power devices e.g. remote controls can send signals over short rage. These signals require line of sight so are easily blocked and don't work well in bright sunlight
