  • Producers: autotrophs.
  • There are 2 types of autotrophs: photoautotrophs and chemoautotrophs.
  • Consumers = heterotrophs
  • Herbivores: animals that eat plants
  • Carnivores: animals that eat other organisms.
  • Omnivores: animals that eat both plants and other organisms.
  • Scavengers eat dead materials.
  • Decomposers and Detritivores break down organisms and are bacteria, fungi, and worms.
  • Almost all food webs start with a green plants which are producers because they produce their own food. Mainly plants and protists.
  • Energy Sources are from photosynthesis and chemosynthesis.
  • Consumers are organisms that cannot make their own food to survive.
