Decay - req practical

• 1. Place 10 cm of fresh milk into three test tubes
  2. Decide the three temperatures you will investigate. Write these onto the sides of the beakers. They may be 5, 20 and 35°C.
  3. Add 5 cm sodium nitrate into the same test tube with syringe
  4. add 10 - 8 drops of phenolphthalein as well
  5. add 2ml of lipase using a syringe
  6. Place in water baths of different temperature
  7. Mix together and stir with glass rod
  8. Time how long is needed for reaction to take place
