Type 1 diabetes is when a persons pancreas doesn’t produce any insulin due to the immune system attacking and destroying the bodies insulin producing cells.
Type 1 diabetes can only be treated with pure insulin which is injected or infused by pump and must be balanced with a persons carbohydrate intake.
