  Making efforts to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and so reduce the impacts of climate change
• Statistics

  • IPCC predicted by 2100, hundreds of millions will be forced out of their house due to rising sea levels
  • Storm surges will also rise (Hurricane Sandy 2012, $65bn damage)
  • It is uncertain because of the unpredictability of the future
  • Climate change; warmer seas; more tropical storms and ice melting
  • IPCC say that a 2 degree temp rise will result in a 1m sea level rise
