They not only unified America with these nationwide speeches, but he roses American spirits by encouraging Americans through the Great Depression. FDR was the first president to effectively use the radio for politics. These talks occurred at least once a month, maybe even more frequently

Soil Conservation and Domestic Allotment Act
permitted the government to accomplish other secondary goals to reduce agricultural production as to "conserve soil" and prevent erosion
Security Administration (1937)
provided loans to help farmers cultivating submarginal soil to relocate better lands
Rural Electrification Administration
worked to make electric power available for the first time to thousands of farmers through utility cooperatives
National Industrial Recovery Act
established the National Recovery Administration (NRA), promoted industrial cooperation
NRA codes were not perfect and they often favored large producers & raised floors to levels higher than the market could sustain
Section 7(a) promised workers the right to form unions & engage in collective bargaining (but no enforcement mechanism)
Schechter vs. US
declared the NRA unconstitutional because those legislative powers could not be delegated to the president
Tennesse Valley Authority (TVA)
