Cards (4)

  • The four women run off and a group of men run on. The men move in and out in two rows of three and rejoin to form a line of six on the diagonal from upstage right to downstage left repeatedly.
    • Their movement is quite fast and punchy and includes rolling heads, relaxed weighty dynamics (Judson Church)
  • Torsos twisting to the right and the left (Cunningham) while walking or standing in attitude pitching forward so that the nose is touching the knee of the standing leg while the working leg is in attitude derrière.Torsos
    • The men use the entire stage and regularly change formations. At one point they run in a semi-circle creating two lines downstage right and perform in unison. They quickly change places in the two lines and perform duet contact work.  Inspired by Trisha Brown’s Opal Loop  (1980) (Judson Church)
