  • fertility drugs - contains mixture of FSH and LH - stimulates ovaries to produce eggs
  • IVF - FSH and LH are used to stimulate the growth of lots of eggs. eggs are collected - fertilised in a dish in a laboratory, using sperm from the father. fertilised eggs grow into embryos and are implanted into the womans uterus
  • infertile women lack FSH
  • IVF Treatment - more than one embryo may be planted to increase the chance of pregnancy
  • disadvantages of IVF:
