      33 vertebrae
    • What is the normal shape of the spine?
      Curve in the cervical (neck), thoracic (mid back) and lumbar (lower back)
    • What is kyphosis?
      An exaggerated, forward rounding of the upper back
      Often caused by poor posture, but also by deformities of the spine
      (Hunchback appearance)
    • What is Lordosis?
      Also called swayback, the spine of a person with this curves significantly inward at the lower back
    • what is scoliosis?
      A sideways curve to their spine, to the left or right
      the curve is often ā€˜s’ shaped or ā€˜c’ shaped
      (Possibly inheritable)
