It's also cost-effective over the long termdue to the number of sessions an individual can have overa period of timeand in some instances, they can do this within a group
Provide awareness on a wider range of services available – when? When you don't know what it is, when they need more then one service eg diabetes.
Provide alternative options – when?
If they don't want what you have offered (empowerment) they are more likely to do it. Tried it before and didn't like it.
Opportunities to discuss specific complaints or experiences with specialists or peers – when? Give them options, ask what they want then, an adult avnodcating for their child.
What is the point of signposting an individual to the correct service?
saves time.

Why does signposting individuals correctly help with their wellbeing/health?
Helps them feel reassured and supported.
What happens if we do not correctly signpost? (think: cost, time, experience)
Money/resources will be wasted, someone else's shot who need to be seen is delayed/taken.
