prokaryotic cells replicate by binary fission. the cells replicates by making copies of itself before physically splitting into two daughter cells
binary fission - the circular DNA and plasmid(s) replicate. the main DNA loop is replicated once, the plasmids can be replicated loads of times
2. binary fission - the cell gets bigger and the DNAloops move to opposite poles of the cell
3. binary fission - the cytoplasm divides and the new cellwalls begin to form
4. binary fission - the cytoplasm divides and two daughter cells are produced. each daughter cell has one copy of the circular DNA but can have a variable number of copies of the plasmids
