Speed
is how fast an object is moving
The work out the speed of an object you need to know how far an object has traveled, and how long it has taken to travel the distance
Newton’s laws of motion
a set of fundamental laws that describe the relationship between an objects motion, and the forces acting upon it
Newton’s first law
the
law of inertia
States that an object at rest will remain at rest and object in motion will continue in motion. Unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
Types of friction
sliding friction
Rolling friction
fluid friction (air/liquid)
Static fiction
Newton’s second law
the law of
acceleration
States that an acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net
force
acting on the object
and inversely proportional to its
mass
Newton’s third law
States that for every
action
there is an equal and opposite
reaction
