  • Hope is the theological value. The source of a theological virtue is God. It is the fruit of grace

  • peace is a key biblical concept. The greek word for peace is eirine; the hebrew word for peace is shalom. Both mean fullness , completeness or wholeness
  • seventh beatitude is “fortunate are those who work for peace”
  • The last beatitude is about the opposition to the members of the Kingdom of heaven. Three types of opposition are: insult, persecution and evil talk or calumny
  • Excessive hope is called presumption. What we hope for is primarily salvation
  • Defective hope is called despair. We sin by despair when we are truly convinced that salvation has become impossible for us
