SCIENCE 5 WEEK 1-8 QUARTER 3

Cards (21)

  • "Motion-is a chage of position with respect to its reference point. (Definition) from the time we wake up until we go to sleep, all are involving moves
  • in Rectilinear motion, movement of an object is along straight lines.
  • Motion have four types, rectilenear motion, circular motion, periodic motion and rolling motion.
  • in circular motion, object moves around a fixed point such us that its distance from the center remain the same.
  • Periodic motion is the motion of an object repeat itself after a certain 7 period of time.
  • Rolling motion is a combination of Rectilinear motion and circular motion.
  • Isaac Newton discovered the law of motions.
  • Reference point - if a fixed place or an object used - to determain the position of the object.
  • Distance - it is the length of path traveled by an object
  • Conductors are materials that allows heat and electricity to pass through easily.
  • Insulator are materials that does not allowed heat and electricity to pass through them
  • The light that is visible to human eye is called "visible eye".
  • Refraction is refers to the bending of light as it passes through different materials.
  • Reflection is the bounce back of light when it hits an object.
  • Absorption - it refers to material taking in light but not reflecting it back.
  • Transmission - it refers to the passing of light through the glass window.
  • Electromagnetism is the study of electromagnetic force.
  • Electricity can produce magnets whilt magnets can produce electricity.
  • A magnet is made of iron , it attracts object such as pin and coins.
  • Electromagnets are temporary magnets.
  • Magnets have two poles which are north pole (N) and south pole(S).
