Inductions and Training

Cards (3)

  • When someone starts a new job, they go through an induction. This is a process of getting to know your new workplace and its rules or systems so that you know what you’re doing and how to do it safely and effectively.
  • After induction, a new employee may go through training. This teaches them important processes, such as knife skills or proper food handling to avoid contamination, and gives hands-on experience with equipment, such as griddles or specialist kitchen equipment.
  • Training can be offered to anyone at any level, and experienced employees may do refresher training to brush up on their skills and knowledge.
