  • High Profile Inmate requires increased security based on intense media coverage.
  • High Risk Inmate is considered highly dangerous, charged with heinous crimes, with military or police training.
  • High Value Target (HVT) is a target, either a resource or a person who may either be an enemy combatant, high ranking official or civilian in danger of capture or death.
  • Security Threat Group is a formal or informal grouping of inmates.
  • Subversive Group is a group of persons that adopts or advocates subversive principles.
  • Terrorist Group commits piracy, rebellion, coup d'etat, murder, etc.
  • Violent Extreme Offender (VEO) is an individual whose political or religious ideologies are considered far outside the mainstream attitudes of the society.
  • Medium Risk Inmates represent a moderate risk, still require greater security.
  • Minimum Risk Inmates (Ordinary Inmates) have lesser tendencies to commit offense, are first time offenders, charged with light offense.
  • PROVINCIAL JAIL - a facility or a place of confinement for Inmates who are sentenced with imprisonment from 6 months and 1 day to 3 years
