secure attachment - generally thought of as the most desirable attachment type, associated w/ psychologically healthy outcomes. in the SS, this is shown by moderatestranger and separation anxiety and ease of comfort at reunion
insecure - avoidant attachment - a type of attachment characterised by lowanxiety but weakattachment. in the SS, this is shown by lowstranger and separationanxiety and little response to reunion, maybe even avoidance of the caregiver
insecure - resistant attachment - a type of attachment characterised by strongattachment and highanxiety. in the SS, this is shown by high levels of stranger and separationanxiety and by resistance to being comforted at reunion
