  • Photochromic textiles, change colour with light intensity. It can be printed onto fabrics, dyes, sewing threads or even beads
  • Thermochromic - change colour due to heat levels. Encapsulated onto fibres and fabrics
  • Solvation Chromism - colour changes due to moisture levels
  • Microencapulasation - Microscopic particles. Can be released through friction alongside contact with the skin
  • Wearable electronics are electronic devices integrated into fabrics. E.g heart rate monitors, GPS trackers, LED's, heated panels, solar panels and performance trackers
  • Sun protective clothing is very closely woven or knitted fabric effectively blocking out harmful UV rays. Synthetic fibres have a natural lustre which reflect UV rays away.
