When forces are balanced, an object will either remain stationary or if it is moving, it will continue to move at a constant speed.
When a resultant force is not zero, an object will changespeed (accelerate or decelerate) or change direction (or both).
To find the resultant force, you would first draw constructionlines from the end of each arrow parallel to the other force arrow. Where they intersect is the direction. The length from the original place is the magnitude.
