What feminists want the world to know, or at least acknowledge, is the different ways men and women are treated, and although there have been great strides towards equality, men and women are far from playing on the same field.
However, the implementation of feminism would not only benefit women within society, men can also be negatively affected by gender inequality.
For example, the stereotype that men should be aggressive is harmful for both genders, for men they may be influenced by toxic masculinity where they are perceived to be domineering, lacking emotion, and violent.
Women are therefore victims of these attitudes and are expected to be subservient and dependent. Equality between the sexes would result in no unrealistic stereotypes for men, and the general better treatment of women.
