• Some would argue that inequalities also exist within the feminist arena, for example, black and ethnic minority feminists are fighting for equality, believing that their plight is overlooked by other feminist groups.
• How would you feel knowing that your community is fighting for justice but you aren’t included?
• “Mainstream” feminists may focus primarily on gender or sex whereas intersectional feminism understands that systems of oppression impact people differently based on their race, class, ability, sexuality, and others.
• How can we call ourselves an equal society when only some women are treated equally?
