Conductors of Heat and electricity (week 2)

Cards (8)

  • Conductors are materials that allow heat and electricity to flow through them.
  • Insulators are materials that does not allow heat and electricity to pass through them.
  • Metal are good conductors of heat and electricity
  • Non-metal do not have free electrons that is why they are not as good as metal when it comes to conductors of heat and electricity
  • Good conductors that have atoms that are very compact
  • The more compact the atoms the better conductors it will be.
  • Good conductors are shiny
  • Poor conductors are brittle
