  • Mitigation

    They are common in outdoor settings. Examples are wounds, sprains, and fractures
  • Wounds
    Any breaks in the skin that causes bleeding.
  • Sprain
    • Usually happens whenever a joint is forced through an abnormal range of motion.
    • This results in damage to the supporting structures such as ligaments and joint capsules.
    • Ankle sprains are common
  • Fractures
    • These are any breaks in the bone.
    • Simple or closed fracture - the bone does not break through the skin
    • Compound fracture - bone breaks through the skin
