  • Remedies for supply of services (CRA) - if service doesnt comfort to the contract, consumer rights are :
    • s55 - right to repeat performance -> trader can be required to be perform service again to the extent necessary to complete it in accordance with the contract -> must be done within reasonable time // carried out without significant inconvenience to the consumer
    • s56 - right to price reduction -> must be reduced by reasonable amount for the traders failure to perform the contract -> can result in a refund of full price
  • remedies for supply of goods (CRA)(1)
    • s20 - short term right to reject : exercised within 30 days, must be made clear to trader, refund must be given 14 days after trader agrees to refund, trader must bear reasonable costs for returning the goods, except costs of consumer returning in person
  • remedies for supply of goods (CRA)(2)


    s23 - right to repair / replacement : available if consumer doesnt reject goods, must be done in reasonable time and with no significant inconvenience to the consumer, trader must bear any necessary costs, cannot require trader to repair goods if it would be impossible or disproportionate vs other remedies
    ->fault must be present at time of original delivery, if not satisfactory consumer has right to price reduction / reject goods under s24 ->trader only has one attempt to repair goods before using s24 -> any refund is subject to reduction for use
