  • Greater vestibular glands
• Mons pubis - fatty area overlying the pubic symphysis; covered with pubic hair
• Labia - skin folds

  • Labia majora - hair-covered folds
  • Labia minora - hair-free folds
• Vestibule - contains external openings of the urethra and vagina
• Greater vestibular glands - lubricates vagina during intercourse
• Clitoris - contains erectile tissue and corresponds to the male penis
• Perineum - diamond-shaped region between the anterior ends of the labial folds, anus posteriorly, and ischial tuberosities laterally
