terminal velocity

• terminal velocity is reached when the friction is equal to the weight of the object
• falling objects accelerate at 9.8n/kg due to force of gravity
• as speed increases, friction (air resistance ) increases
• at terminal velocity, friction and weight are balanced so speed is constant
• on a graph, ascending line= acceleration increases
• on a graph, curve= friction increasing and acceleration decreasing but friction is still less than weight
• on a graph, flat line= terminal velocity
