  • Why do we need salvation?
    Original Sin from Adam and Eve means everyone is born with the ability to commit sin and has sin already in them. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
  • What is salvation?
    Being saved from your sins so your soul can go to heaven. Some christians believe this happens in purgatory, whilst others believe it happens whilst on Earth.

    • Salvation is earned by following God's laws and doing good deeds
    • I.E. following the 10 comandments and Jesus' teachings

    • Salvation is a gift given to humans by God
    • Can't earn salvation
    • Can only gain salvation through faith in Christ the Saviour (Jesus)

    • Salvation is achieved by humans through guidance of the holy spirit
    • The spirit teaches Christians wisdom and truth, helping them to get closer to and understand God better, in order to avoid sin and achieve salvation.
