  • What is the max weight of a crew hold bag?
    23 kg
  • What is the max weight of virgin wheelie bag?
    10 kg
  • What time should you get to the gatehouse?
    minimum of 2 hours before standard time of departure (STD)
  • When outstation report to gatehouse at least 70 mins before departure.
    If more than 2 nights away or aircraft change or crew change, questions will be asked.
  • Check ID of every non - passenger boarding the aircraft:
    check name and picture
  • When passengers boarding check for luggage, intoxicated passengers, SCP, infants
  • Passenger baggage allowance:
    J and Gold club: 2 16kg total and one nag can't be over 12kg
    W and Y: 1 10kg
    Infant: 1 6kg
    Each passenger: +1 included in weight
  • Instruments can be carried on board. Must be in a window seat or ion floor of window seat. No more than 75 kg

  • Conditions to sit in flight deck:
    1. 6 months of flying
    2. more than 9 crew
    3. FSM ensure all crew seats covered
    4. FSM and Captain make final decision
  • Serve flight crew outboard to avoid spilling on console

  • Intelex App:
    • ORs by 72 hours after
    • IIORs by 72 hours after

  • Cabin Defect Log:
    • equipment breaks

  • Unserviceable Tag/ Sticker:
    • place on broken equipment

  • Pre-flight checks:
    • cabin
    • toilets
    • galleys
    • portable equipment
    • interphone and PA
    • door checks and cross check
  • Crew seat check:
    sit in seat and apply harness
    do buckle up
    check seat pan retracts
  • Cheat books for where portable equipment is found in on Logipad
  • Interphone checks:
    • dial colleague at opposite door
    • say name and location
    • call you back
    • make PA "PA check L1"
  • Toilet check:
    • bin flaps closed
    • check smoke detector is not damaged or obstructed
    • check flush switches off
    • open all stowage
    • checks lights come on (lock yourself in toilet)
    • ash tray
  • Galley checks:
    • check oven: oven insert, free of spillages, operational, closes and latches, door seals, no foreign objects
    • Waste carts: flap can close (if not tape it up), all latches operational
    • check power works
    • curtains are securable
  • Cabin checks:
    • IFE
    • seat cushions in place (covers are flame retardant)
    • seat belts in place
    • Airbag seat belt not connected
    • tray tables and foot rests stowed
    • safety card visible
    • check floor
    • smoking and seatbelt signs
    • carpets
  • Safety card coolers and shapes:
    B787- yellow square
    A333- blue circle
    A330neo- red triangle
    A350 mainline- pink diamond

  • To sit at a door you must be 16+

  • Exit rows must have ABP:

  • Once doors close FSM will make PA:

  • Deinsecting from certain countries:
    • lockers open
    • keep high
    • point down in toilet
    • give bottles to FSM
  • when to do manual demos:
    • if screen doesn't work for a block
    • personally for someone visually impared
  • Video demo:
    sit in crew seat until hear "to help reduce injury in an emergency landing"
    show lights, exit signs and exits
    then do cabin secure and phone FSM
  • For take-off:
    double chine = take-off imminent
    30 second review in seat (semi - brace position)
    Flight crew tell nearest galley and should be passed onto FSM that at top of climb
    open toilets
    check toilets every 30 mins
  • For landing:
    flight crew call nearest galley that at top of descent
    start shutting down cabin
    don't lock toilets yet
    galleys secured
    final rubbish collection -> put in flame retardant bag and put in PRM (passenger reduced mobility) toilet
    check seat belts
    call FSM cabin secured
    semi-brace and 30 sec review
    double chime
    collect ILJ - RHS crew
    post-flight checks
