• To manipulate the election:

  1. The SA terrorised political opponents (69 people were killed during the campaign)
  2. Goering raised over 3 million Reichsmarks from big businesses
  3. The media suggested there would be a communist revolution
• The Nazi's won 43.9% (288 seats) of the vote in the March 1933 elections
