  • Fiscal Feudalism was the series of fundrasing measures using prerogative rights that had fallen into disuse
  • Imposition of the distraint of knighthood- raised £170000 which equalled to 3 parliamentary subsidies
  • There was also imposition of forest laws which cost the Earl of Salisbury £20,000 and wardship
  • Proclamation against the remaining in London without Royal permission. One man fined £1000 for this
  • All of these methods raised income but at the cost of being unpopular with political classes who were affected by these methods the most and were deemed as arbitrary/unfair (as was the king) while these methods didn't even provide a permanent supply of income
