  • Positive correlations occurs were as values increase/decrease on one variable they do so on the other as well.
  • Negative correlations as values increase on one variable they decrease on the other.
  • Correlational studies look for a relationship between 2 or more variables.
  • Zero correlation is where there is no relationship between variables so one is not affecting the other.
  • Strength of correlations:
    • Lead to further investigations
    • Procedures can be repeated
  • Weaknesses of correlations:
    • Can't establish cause and effect
    • Lose detail, depth and understanding
